Take our work at Briscoe Lane Development. This wasn’t your average foundation job. We used a no-dig construction method, avoiding deep excavation to protect tree roots and reduce the site’s carbon footprint. Fewer lorries, less spoil, and a structural design that respected the environment. That’s low-carbon engineering in action.
Then there’s our SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) work at Akeman Street and the award-winning Lancaster & York House development. Our civil engineering team created sustainable drainage strategies that manage surface water naturally - slowing flow, improving water quality, and reducing flood risk. Smart drainage isn’t just a technical win - it’s a climate resilience must-have.
Meanwhile, over at The Forge Care Centre, we embraced Modern Methods of Construction (MMC). By designing for off-site manufacture and precision assembly, we helped the build team cut down waste, reduce site time, and deliver a high-performance structure with far less environmental impact.
What ties all of this together? Intentional design. Whether it’s cutting embodied carbon through structural optimisation or building smarter infrastructure with SuDS, our structural and civil engineers focus on delivering value that lasts - for people and the planet.
So this Earth Day, we’re not making promises. We’re showing our work.
