JMS Engineers provided structural and civil engineering support for the new Science, Design Technology, and Food Technology block at a secondary school in Bath. The project posed challenges due to restricted access and a tight site footprint.
We designed foundations, the superstructure, drainage strategies, and coordinated the integration of Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) as part of a Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) approach. This method accelerated the programme, reduced site disruption, and supported efficient delivery.
Despite the complexity, the project was delivered successfully through strong collaboration with the wider design and build team.
