Barwell House - Bethnall Green

We are thoroughly enjoying working with Dewstone Builders Ltd and Brooks Murray Architects to add two floors to an existing – and rather tired looking – 4-storey building in Bethnal Green.

This project is typical of so many we undertake each month. We love using our extensive experience with Permitted Development projects to design robust structural solutions for scenarios like this one.

Our in-house designs use lightweight materials such as timber framing or Structural Steel Framing for the new upper floor structures. This means that, in the majority of cases, we can justify the new extension without the need to enhance the existing structure or its foundations – providing significant cost savings and minimising the disruption to any existing tenants and the neighbouring community.

These projects are really fulfilling for the team. We love being able to design solutions that make a huge difference to our clients, their tenants, the architects and the wider community.
